Chaos erupts at Dedza Stadium over alleged use of Juju in TNM Super League clash

Barely two weeks into the 2025 TNM Super League season, controversy has already struck—this time involving the alleged use of juju during a tense match between Dedza Dynamos and Mzuzu City Hammers at Dedza Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Tensions escalated when an official believed to be linked to Mzuzu City Hammers narrowly escaped an attack after Dedza Dynamos supporters accused him of using juju to influence the match in favor of the visiting team.
Following the match, a group of Dedza fans reportedly held a brief meeting, insisting the man had the suspected juju.
The situation spiraled in the second half when a man wearing a Mzuzu City Hammers jersey was confronted and assaulted by unidentified fans, who accused him of being the carrier of the alleged juju.
Police intervened moments later and managed to rescue the individual from the angry crowd.
Currently, the Super League of Malawi (SULOM) has not released an official statement, stating that they are awaiting a full report from the match officials who were on duty.
