Mutharika urges MBC to embrace professionalism
President-elect Peter Mutharika has urged the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) to uphold professionalism and adhere to journalistic standards.
Speaking during a press briefing at his Nyambadwe residence yesterday, Mutharika said the conduct of the state broadcaster in the past was questionable.
He stressed that MBC should move away from propaganda and instead serve the interests of Malawians.
“I think what MBC did was improper,” he said.
