DPP runningmate Justice Jane Ansah graces Chantulo Cultural Festival

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) running mate, Impi Justice Jane Ansah, SC, today graced the Chantulo Cultural Festival held in Monkey Bay, Mangochi.
The annual Umhlangano gathering brought together traditional leaders and people from across the country to celebrate Ngoni heritage.
Speaking on behalf of all the Impis of Inkosi ya Makhosi Gomani V, Ansah opened her address by paying homage to the Ngwenyama and extending heartfelt respect to the Yao people for their hospitality, describing them as gracious hosts of the Ngoni and many other tribes.
“Even the Professor Peter Mutharika himself chose to settle here, and yesterday I saw an online video of people from Lilongwe being warmly welcomed here. It just shows how welcoming and non-discriminatory the people of this area are,” she said.
She praised Umhlangano as a symbol of Ngoni survival, unity and dignity and hailed the warriors and elders for preserving culture across generations.
Ansah also emphasized shared values among Malawians—respect, faith, hard work, and unity—and called for an end to tribal divisions, especially in the lead-up to the general elections.
Taking his turn, Inkosi Chantulo hailed Impi Ansah for attending the event describing her as a role model and great Ngoni warrior.
Inkosi Makwangwala presided over the function.
