Mtumbuka drums up support for UTM’s Chiradzulu Nguludi parliamentary aspirant, Touts Kabambe as Malawi’s economic saviour

UTM Senior Member, Matthews Mtumbuka, has urged the people of Chiradzulu Nguludi Constituency to vote for Mwayi Lancy Mbewe as their Member of Parliament in the forthcoming 16 September elections.
Dr Mtumbuka, who is also UTM’s presidential advisor, made the remarks on Saturday during a rally held at Nguludi in Chiradzulu, shortly after accompanying Mbewe as he successfully submitted his nomination papers to the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC).
Addressing the gathering, Mtumbuka praised Mbewe for demonstrating leadership with action even before entering office.
He cited ongoing road improvements spearheaded by Mbewe as evidence of his commitment to community development.
“Mwayi has already rolled up his sleeves and started working for the people. He is upgrading roads, engaging local youth, and listening to the concerns of his community,” said Mtumbuka.
“That is the kind of leadership we need—someone who doesn’t wait for a title to start serving.”
He further stressed that the people of Chiradzulu Nguludi now have a candidate who understands their challenges and is ready to provide home-grown solutions.
“The people here don’t need empty promises; they need action. And Mwayi Lancy Mbewe is a doer, not just a talker,” he added.
In his brief address, Mwayi Lancy Mbewe pledged to prioritize infrastructure, education, health, and youth empowerment if elected into office.
“My mission is to make sure that every household in this constituency feels the impact of development,” Mbewe said.
“Together, we will transform Chiradzulu Nguludi.”
Mtumbuka also seized the opportunity to campaign for UTM’s presidential hopeful, Dr Dalitso Kabambe, whom he described as the right leader to turn around Malawi’s economic fortunes.
“Dr. Kabambe is Malawi’s economic liberator,” Mtumbuka declared.
“His knowledge of financial systems and governance is unmatched. Under his leadership, we will see a Malawi that works for everyone, not just the privileged few.”
