The Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Director of Elections, Elias Chakwera, has dismissed claims circulating on social media suggesting that the party conducted a secret primary election in Salima.
There have been reports, particularly on social media platforms, alleging that the party’s spokesperson, Jessie Kabwila, lost in this so-called primary election.
Reacting to the claims, Chakwera laughed off the rumors, saying:
“Hahaha, that’s pure lies! We haven’t held any elections in Salima. I don’t even know where people are getting this from!”
