Local digital satellite television provider Multichoice Malawi Ltd has expressed satisfaction with the invitational golf tournament the company hosted at the Blantyre Sports Club over the weekend.
The tournament was one way launching its ‘Platinum Package’ which is in support of Multichoice’s mission of delivering value to its customers by making great entertainment more accessible.
“We had a great time. You know a big part of what we do is entertaining people and we had a good turnout in terms of golfers and spent time with them, interacting with them and entertaining them as well, so it was a good day,” said Gus Banda who is the General Manager for Multichoice Malawi.
Giving details about the Platinum Package, Banda disclosed that after looking at the business competition that is in the country in every sector, Multichoice Malawi realised that they are better off partnering with their clients.
“In that regard, we are now working with Sunbird, South Africa, Livingstone Pharmacy, Into Sport to bundle our services and offer greater benefits to our subscribers and their customers as well,” added Banda.
He explained that the Platinum Lifestyle package is intended to offer customers added value benefits through selected partners from various industries exclusive discounted services, passes and customer benefits.
At the end of the tournament, seasoned golfers John Gift Mwakhwawa and Diana Kambale emerged victorious in both the men’s and ladies categories.
Playing off handicap 12, lawyer Mwakhwawa posted a net 66 and he was followed by James Chimwaza who had a net of 68 while Furkani Gani with 69.
In the women’s category, Kambale had a net score of 69 to triumph. She counted Myungbook Shim who also had a net score of 69. Jeong-Ok-Jong was third with a 73 net.
