The Malawi National Netball team has left for Lusaka, Zambia to compete at this year’s African Netball Championship.
The Queens left on Friday for Lusaka by road for the tournament which throws off on Tuesday next week.
Seven countries are expected to compete in the championship which will also be used as a qualifier for next year’s world cup although Malawi automatically qualified by virtue of being ranked 6th in the world.
The Queens first game is against Zimbabwe on Tuesday.
Griffin Sayenda Senior led technical panel recently announced the 12 players for the competition with former captain Carolyn Mtukule Ngwira, Sindi Simtowe and Shira Dimba being the notable omissions.
