Castel Challenge Cup round of 32 draw produces favourable matchups for Malawi’s giants
The 2025/2026 Castel Challenge Cup round of 32 draw has been conducted in Blantyre.
According to the draw, Malawi’s top clubs are avoiding each other in what promises to be an exciting stage of the competition.
Football powerhouses FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Mighty Wanderers, Silver Strikers and Civil Service United have all secured separate fixtures, increasing the chances of seeing them progress to the later stages of the competition.
The draw shows that FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will travel to face Songwe Border United, while rivals Mighty Wanderers have been paired with Extreme FC.
In other fixtures, Kamuzu Barracks will take on Ntaja Rangers, whereas Ntaja United will meet Ekhaya FC.
Chitipa-based Lufita United have been handed a tough test against Karonga United, and Silver Strikers will face Namitete Zitha.
Mafco FC are set to battle Blue Eagles, with Prison United squaring off against Civil Service United.
Other matches lined up include Chirumba Barracks against Mighty Tigers, Nsanje United against Airborn Rangers, Home Sweepers from Nkhata Bay hosting Mzuzu City Hammers, and Creck Sporting Club taking on Dedza Dynamos.
Moyale FC will face Bangwe All Stars, Chintheche United meet Shire Wimby, Bereu Giants will host Chitipa United, while Red Lions complete the list with a tie against Ndirande Stars.
The football association of Malawi says dates and venues for the matches will be confirmed in due course.
