“Black Mamba” diagnosed with liver cancer
Malawians have flooded social media with messages of goodwill following news that former Flames striker Esau “Black Mamba” Kanyenda has been diagnosed with liver cancer in the United Kingdom.
Writing on his Facebook page, Kanyenda revealed the asked the nation to keep him in their prayers.
“Just to let you know that I’m diagnosed with liver cancer here in the UK. I’m fighting for this. Need your prayers,” he wrote.
The Black Mamba remains one of Malawi’s most iconic and inspiring footballers whose journey rose from humble beginnings to international success.
