The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Women’s Directorate has extended heartfelt Mother’s Day greetings to all women across Malawi, urging them to continue upholding the values of love, patience, and compassion that define motherhood.
In a statement released today signed by the party’s National Director of Women, Mary Thom Navicha, the Directorate applauded mothers for their resilience and unwavering care despite life’s challenges.

“As we celebrate our day today, I would like to extend my best wishes to you all. Thank you for the love, care, and patience you always express towards your children, family, and loved ones, even amidst challenges and suffering,” said Navicha.
She further encouraged women to maintain faith and optimism, describing love and compassion as strong pillars of motherhood.
Navicha also conveyed special greetings to the First Lady of the Republic of Malawi, Professor Gertrude Mutharika, and the Vice President, Jane Ansah SC, along with all women serving within the party’s ranks, including NGC members, regional and district women directors, and constituency governesses.
The DPP Women’s Directorate wished all mothers in the DPP family a joyful Mother’s Day celebration.
Concluding her message, Navicha prayed for divine wisdom and guidance for all Malawians as they continue supporting the State President, Arthur Peter Mutharika, in realizing his vision for the nation.
