Atupele Muluzi reaffirms UDF’s commitment to Malawi’s development
United Democratic Front (UDF) President Atupele Muluzi has reaffirmed his party’s commitment to championing development in Malawi, stating that the UDF is the only party with a proven track record of delivering meaningful progress for its citizens.
Muluzi made the remarks on Monday during whistle-stop campaign meetings in Mangochi District.
He told supporters that the UDF remains the party best positioned to transform the country’s future.
“Our party has always prioritized the needs of Malawians, and we have a record to prove it. We are ready to continue implementing development initiatives that will change lives, just as we did when the UDF was in power,” said Muluzi.
He took a swipe at other political parties that have governed in recent years, arguing that they have failed to fulfill their promises.
“Other parties that have taken turns in government have neglected the true aspirations of Malawians. They have failed to deliver. But the UDF has the vision, experience, and commitment to move this country forward,” he said.
Muluzi also shared details of his vision for the country, focusing on youth empowerment, economic growth, and inclusive development.
He stressed that the UDF will ensure no Malawian is left behind.
“I hope that Malawians can unite behind a common purpose—self-reliance and prosperity for all. Next month’s election presents an opportunity for change, and the UDF is ready to lead that change,” he added.
Supporters in Mangochi cheered as Muluzi pledged that, if elected, his administration would prioritize sectors such as education, healthcare, and agriculture to drive sustainable development.
