Reunion Insurance celebrates 20 years of excellence
Reunion Insurance Company Limited is celebrating two decades of providing reliable insurance services in Malawi under the theme “20 Years of Trust, Innovation and Excellence.”
The anniversary was marked by a grand ceremony that honoured the company’s founding board members, long-serving employees, and showcased several philanthropic initiatives, demonstrating its deep commitment to community development and sustainability.
Speaking to Capital FM, the company’s Technical Manager, Hastings Kapesa, said Reunion Insurance presented special awards to its inaugural board members in recognition of their contributions to the institution.
“Awarding long-serving employees and founding members is crucial, as it acknowledges the vital role they have played in building a resilient and customer-focused institution,” Kapesa explained.
As part of its strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, Reunion Insurance launched a number of philanthropic initiatives to support vulnerable communities and promote environmental sustainability.
These included a donation of 100 bags of maize flour—valued at nearly 5 million kwacha—to Chichiri Prison to help combat food insecurity among marginalized populations.
The company also donated 1 million kwacha to Ekwendeni School for Visual Impairment and Learning Difficulties to support education and child welfare, particularly for vulnerable and visually impaired children.
