The Chimbota Community Development Organisation (CCDO) has launched the second phase of its ‘Za Njala’ fundraising campaign to combat hunger in Malawi.

Speaking about the initiative, CCDO Co-Director Kevin Troughton emphasized the urgency of addressing food insecurity, particularly among vulnerable communities.

“Last year, we raised over K10 million, which helped orphans, the elderly, and those affected by cyclones. This year, we aim to raise K25 million to extend our reach,” Troughton said.

He called on Malawian businesses and organizations to support the initiative, highlighting that every contribution makes a difference.

“We are committed to ensuring transparency and accountability in managing donations so that every kwacha directly benefits those in need,” he added.

CCDO has urged well-wishers to contribute and help alleviate hunger in Malawi.
