The United Democratic Front (UDF) has announced changes to its primary election schedule and nomination fees, introducing measures to enhance inclusivity in the electoral process.
In an addendum to its March 11, 2025, press release, the party has revised the dates for its Phase 1 primary elections and adjusted nomination fees, particularly benefiting women, youth, and persons with disabilities, including those with albinism.
According to UDF National Publicity Secretary Dyson Jangia, the party has cut nomination fees by 50% for female candidates, youth (under 35 years), and persons with disabilities and albinism.
- Members of Parliament:
- Male candidates – K300,000
- Female, youth, and persons with disabilities – K150,000
- Councilors:
