Standard Bank boosts Wealth Women Summit with K10 million

Ng'ombe (R): This Women’s Month is an opportunity to advance women’s inclusion, create opportunities for girls, and build a society where success is shared
Standard Bank has reinforced its commitment to women’s empowerment by sponsoring the Wealth Women Summit with MWK 10 million.
The summit, organized by Wealth Malawi, aims to provide a platform for women to network, learn, and thrive.
During a symbolic handover, Tamanda Ng’ombe, Standard Bank’s Head of Marketing, presented the cheque to Harry Chima, Managing Executive at Wealth Malawi.
Speaking at the event, Ng’ombe emphasized the bank’s dedication to fostering women’s inclusion and supporting the next generation of female leaders.
“We are thrilled to invest in the Wealth Women Summit, an event that reflects our core belief in the potential of women and girls in Malawi’s socio-economic development. This Women’s Month is an opportunity to advance women’s inclusion, create opportunities for girls, and build a society where success is shared,” she said.
With March recognized as Women’s Month, the 2025 theme “Accelerate Action” highlights the importance of women uplifting each other.
Wealth Malawi’s Harry Chima acknowledged Standard Bank’s continuous support, noting the bank’s active role in women’s empowerment.
“Standard Bank has always been a partner in our initiatives. This year’s summit will not only celebrate women but also address key challenges, including barriers young girls face in accessing education,” he said.
The Wealth Women Summit will bring together influential women across various sectors, featuring segments like fashion for knowledge, power pairing sessions, and keynote speeches. Standard Bank’s sponsorship will help amplify women’s voices, foster economic empowerment, and drive lasting change.
