Premier Bet sponsors inaugural Malawi Sports Awards

Premier Bet, a sports betting company, has partnered with the Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) to sponsor the inaugural Sports Awards, slated for February 28.

The company has donated K7.5 million towards the event.

During the cheque presentation ceremony in Blantyre, Premier Bet’s Community Officer, Hamza Mgaye, emphasized that the sponsorship is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility initiative.

Mgaye noted that Premier Bet’s goals align with the MNCS’s vision of uniting fans through sports.

“We are motivated to sponsor the Malawi Sports Awards as a way of giving back to the community we serve while contributing to sports development,” Mgaye said.

He also highlighted the company’s affiliation with Dedza Dynamos FC, a Super League team.

MNCS’s Director of Planning, Marketing, and Infrastructure Development, Limbani Matola, praised Premier Bet’s timely gesture.

“The K7.5 million sponsorship has come at the right time, with the event drawing near,” Matola said.

He added that preparations for the awards ceremony are underway, and voting for nominees will commence soon.
