Donald Trump has today been sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, marking his return to the presidency.
The inauguration, held indoors at the Capitol Rotunda due to cold weather, was attended by prominent figures, including former President Joe Biden.
In his inaugural address, Trump said, “America’s decline is over,” outlining his vision to reverse the policies of the previous administration.
His priorities include bolstering energy production, reforming immigration, and implementing economic measures aimed at uplifting the nation.
He also pledged to usher in a “golden age” for the United States, emphasizing the restoration of the country’s domestic and global standing.
Among his immediate actions, Trump announced plans to declare a national emergency at the southern border to enhance border security and address immigration challenges.
He also indicated intentions to issue executive orders that prioritize fossil fuel development and eliminate diversity and inclusion programs in federal agencies.
