Govt urges journalists to leverage media for accurate NEEF coverage

Kunkuyu: Many of you work in the media out of passion
Minister of Information and Digitization, Moses Kunkuyu is highlighting the crucial role of the media in delivering accurate and timely information to Malawians on issues of national benefit.
He made the remarks in Blantyre when he officially opened a stakeholder consultative meeting between the National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) and the Southern Region Press Club (SRPC) journalists.
Kunkuyu encouraged journalists to prioritize factual reporting about NEEF to enhance public understanding.
He also urged media practitioners to view NEEF as a new source and an opportunity to improve their livelihoods.
“Many of you work in the media out of passion, but let’s be honest, your payment conditions are concerning. This is your time to benefit from NEEF,” Kunkuyu said.
