Machilika: Accused of sodomy
Police in Kanengo, Lilongwe are keeping in custody a 42-year-old man, Henry Machilika for allegedly sodomising a 14-year-old boy.
According to Kanengo police public relations officer Gresham Ngwira on 6 January 2025, the victim had misunderstandings with his mother over his education.
The boy, who is a form one student at one of the secondary schools in the city, then left his parents’ house and sought refuge somewhere within the neighborhood.
While there, he met Machilika who then took him to his house where he had anal sex with him.
He, however, warned the victim not to reveal this to anybody but in defiance, the boy revealed it to his brother who in turn, told the mother.
Police later arrested Machilika for the charge of Sodom and he is expected to appear in court as soon.
Machilika comes from Salima Village Traditional Authority Khongoni in Lilongwe District.
