MBL Holdings Limited, under the stewardship of its chairperson Leston Mulli has organized a grand memorial show in honor of the late Lacton Mulli, a trailblazer and esteemed figure in the Mulli family and Malawi’s corporate landscape.
The event, which promises to blend solemn remembrance and jubilant celebration, is scheduled for Saturday, 28 December 2024, at the Mulli Residence, Horo Open Ground, T/A Nyezerera, Phalombe District.
The day’s activities will commence in the morning with prayers and a communal feast, reflecting the humility, generosity, and unity that defined Mr. Lacton Mulli’s life.
These morning events are a testament to his unwavering faith and his commitment to community, values that have left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
Born in 1944, Mr. Lacton Mulli pioneered Malawi’s business and social spheres.
He dedicated his life to creating opportunities and uplifting communities, a legacy that continues to inspire.
His passing on 22 December 2006 was a great loss, but his memory and impact remain alive through initiatives like this memorial show.
The highlight of the day will be a live performance by Black Missionaries Band, one of Malawi’s most beloved musical groups.
Known for their soulful melodies and captivating stage presence, the band’s performance is expected to draw a large crowd.
The memorial show offers a platform for attendees to celebrate Mulli’s legacy through music and camaraderie.

Speaking about the event, Leston Mulli, chairperson of MBL Holdings, emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring the contributions of the late Mr. Mulli.
“This memorial show is not only a celebration of my father’s life but also a reaffirmation of the values he held dear – faith, hard work, and love for one another. It is our way of keeping his memory alive and sharing his story with future generations,” he said.
