Southern Region Water Board (SRWB) has been recognized as one of Malawi’s top employers, excelling in staff welfare and other key areas.
The Employers Consultative Association of Malawi (ECAM) presented the prestigious award during a recent gala event.
SRWB took top honors as the Best Employer of the Year in the Social Protection Category, demonstrating its commitment to the well-being of its employees.
The utility service provider also secured the second-best performer award in the Industrial Relations and Employee Engagement category.
Reacting to the development, SRWB chief executive officer Duncan Chambamba said: ” I am delighted that other organizations like ECAMA can recognize our efforts and performance.”
“This recognition is coming because of the hard work and teamwork of everyone at our institution. We hope to maintain and improve our standards further.”
The Employer of the Year Awards, an initiative by ECAM, aims to promote and encourage best practices among Malawian employers.
