Sunbird donates K5 Million to Presidential Charity Golf Initiative
Sunbird Hotels and Resorts have donated K5 million to support the Presidential Charity Golf Initiative.
The Presidential Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled for this coming Friday and Saturday at Limbe Country Club in Blantyre.
Speaking during the donation on Monday, Sunbird’s Head of Marketing and Distribution, Temwa Kanjadza, revealed that they decided to support the initiative because its aim is to assist needy university students and people affected by Tropical Cyclone Freddy.
In his remarks, the Chairperson of the Fundraising Committee for the Presidential Charity Golf Initiative, Boyd Luwe, praised Sunbird for its support. However, Luwe mentioned that they are targeting to raise K600 million, and so far they have managed to raise K500 million.
