Eagles find new home
Blue Eagles Football Club has announced Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Kapiri-Mchinji as its new home, as the final phase of the Chipiku Stores Premier Division League kicks off today.
The team’s chief administration officer, Muhammad Alli, revealed that they chose Mchinji over Lilongwe due to the busy schedules of venues in the city and the desire for stronger patronage.
“Every team needs a player number 12, who is a supporter,” Alli emphasized, highlighting the importance of fan support.
“Our sponsors are also ready to continue giving us unwavering support throughout the stage and qualify back to the TNM Super league,” he added.
The team is gearing up to face Villa FC at their new home stadium on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
The owner of the facility Aubrey Dimba was delighted and excited for Blue Eagles to choose his Stadium as its home.
”I am happy that they have entrusted our facility and being a Police side team I believe all will be going well throughout the stage, let me appeal to fans to come in large numbers to cheer the team”, he said.
The twelve teams that will be battling out in this stage are Blue Eagles FC, Wimbe United, Extreme FC, Namitete Zitha FC, Ekas Freight Wanderers FC, Chisomo Academy / Armour Battalion FC, Villa FC, Mitundu Baptist, Airborne Rangers FC, Chatoloma ADMARC, Panthers FC and Mbabzi United FC.
