Mpinganjira eyeing COSAFA title

Off to Cosafa -The junior Flames

Malawi Under-20 National Football team coach Bob Mpinganjira confident that his charges have chances of winning this year’s COSAFA Youth Championship.

The competition which also serves as a qualifier for the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations will be played between Thursday and October 5 in Mozambique.

Mpinganjira and his 20-man squad have left the country and are set to face South Africa in their opener on Friday then Comoros on September 30 before concluding their group C campaign against Lesotho on October 1.

“We have never won the tournament, but we hope to this year. We have talked to the players about the importance of this tournament and that we have to go compete and win the Cup, and I am very sure that every player is geared up and that we will get good results,” Mpinganjira said.
