Who will Kell Kay feature in ‘Ghetto?’
Local R’n’B artist Kelvin Kambwiri, better known as Kell Kay, is on a quest to discover an emerging artist to feature in his new track, “Ghetto.”.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Muchedwa singer reached out to his fans via Facebook, inviting them to tag talented upcoming artists to join him on what he described as an exciting project.
In his post, Kell Kay shared: “I’m working on a new song titled ‘Ghetto’ and I’m looking to feature a talented upcoming artist from the ghetto.”
He encourages his followers to participate by tagging potential candidates and sharing their music links: “If you know someone who fits this description, tag them and share their music links.”
Kell Kay has previously collaborated with notable artists like the late Lucius Banda, King Hyphen, and Zambian YoMaps, and has recently been linked with new acts such as Kineo and Aidefest.
However, this time around, he’s offering more than just a feature. “I’m not just looking for a feature; I’m looking for a collaborator.
The selected artist will not only be featured on my song but will also receive a music video for one of their own tracks, along with promotional support.”
Kell Kay’s main goal with this initiative is to provide a platform for emerging talent. Fans are encouraged to tag their favorite rising artists in Kell Kay’s Facebook post.
His closing line emphasizes his mission: “Let’s give a voice to the unseen gems.”
