FCB Nyasa Big Bullets started their CAF Champions League campaign with a 2-1 home victory against Zambia’s Red Arrows on Sunday.

The visitors were the first to score at 55 minutes through Ricky Banda who was set by Alassane Diarra.

Bullets reacted at 77 minutes through Nigerian attacker Babatunde Adepoju who was assisted Lloyd Aaron.

At 88th minute, Precious Phiri netted an important goal to seal victory for the home side, giving them a first leg advantage.

Bullets will travel to Zambia on Saturday for a return leg.

The overall winner among the two sides will face TP Mazembe of DR Congo in the second Preliminary Stage of the continental showpiece.
