Beach Soccer AFCON Qualifiers: Malawi faces Burundi in Bujumbura today

The Malawi National Beach Soccer team is starting the 2024 Beach Soccer AFCON qualifiers against Burundi this afternoon.
The match which starts at 3pm in Bujumbura, was initially scheduled for Saturday but was shifted to Monday after Malawi failed to travel on Tuesday due to logistical challenges.
After their match today, the two sides will meet in Salima on Saturday for a return leg.
In an earlier interview, local beach soccer association leader Gift Chimbalanga assured that Malawi will do well.
“We are sure that our men will carry the Malawi flag high and win the game so that we qualify to the finals,” Chimbalanga said.

Defenders: Sandram Saddie, Martin Biliati, and Mike Chavula
