Kapindula: Empowering women is essential

The Mlatho Project has underscored the critical need for greater women’s participation in politics.

Mariah Kapindula, the founder and project lead of the Mlatho Project highlighted this saying they have launched series of comprehensive capacity-building programmes to support this initiative.

These programs are designed to enhance communication skills and provide financial assistance, thereby empowering women to compete effectively in the political arena.

“We believe that empowering women is essential for a balanced and representative political landscape. Our programmes are specifically tailored to give women a competitive edge over their male counterparts,” she said.

“She further elaborated on the project’s goals, “By improving communication skills and offering financial support, we aim to break down the barriers that have historically prevented women from entering politics.

“Inclusivity is not just a buzzword for us; it’s a fundamental principle that drives our efforts,” she stressed.

The Mlatho Project’s initiative is a response to the ongoing gender disparity in political representation.
