As a way of promoting good health among workers and hospital users, Ntcheu District Health Office on Friday organized a clean-up initiative aimed at keeping all hospital premises clean.
Speaking during the exercise, Ntcheu District Hospital Promotion Officer, Stella Kawalala said they conducted the clean-up campaign to respond to the national call on presidential initiative and that it is also a mandate to live and work on a clean and safe environment.
“To ensure that this is not only today’s exercise, we have deliberately constituted an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and WASH committee to regularly spearhead this agenda so that all hospital premises are clean and safe at all times and make sure that cleaning materials are always available,” Kawalala said.
She further asked for collaborative effort among hospital users to make sure the hospital is always kept clean by not littering anyhow.
On her remark’s chairperson of the patients’ guardians at the hospital, Lonica Arnold said the call has come at the right time as it will help in prevention of some diseases such as Cholera.
