Between $5 and $10 million in revenue is set to be generated annually once implementation of the carbon trading system gets underway.
The revelation by natural resources authorities follows conclusion of the carbon trading framework processes and the start of calls for experts’ input before submission for cabin’s approval.
Secretary for natural resources, Yusuf Mkungula, notes that: “If all goes well, cabinet could approve the framework by July or August this year thereby paving way for execution of various environmental activities in the country.”
