MLS wants plane crash probe

The Malawi Law Society (MLS) has joined calls to institute an investigation that led to the crashing of a plane that claimed the life of Vice President Saulos Chilima and 8 other officials.
According to MLS honorary secretary Gabriel Chembezi, death of a serving Vice President and the eight other officials triggers a legal obligation upon all authorities to pursue the truth.
Part VII of the Civil Aviation Act in section 48-49 and Division 22 of the Defence Act provides a detailed guideline to facilitate and guide air accident and incident investigation.
