A civil society grouping is calling for transparency and merit-based selection process in the appointment of the Director General and Deputy Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau-ACB.
The call comes as expiry of the contract of the Director General of the ACB Martha Chizuma is to end on 31st May, 2024.
According to National Advocacy Platform-NAP chairperson Benedicto Kondowe, the selection of the next ACB boss should be made with emphasis on integrity, competence, and commitment to anti-corruption efforts.
