A governance think-tank on social economic woes.

A governance think-tank is concerned that the persistent socio-economic woes rocking the country could suppress society’s productivity level.
A recent assessment by the Center for Social Concern (CfSC) shows that the cost of living has risen by 2.2 percent from 510 thousand kwacha in March to 522 thousand kwacha April.
According to the CfSC, the situation is worse among low-income earners who are already suffering to meet their basic needs.
Reacting to the reports, Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP) national coordinator, Boniface Chibwana, notes that the continued rise in the cost of living is hitting a lot of Malawians hard.
