Police investigating Kasambara’s death
National police insist they are investigating the circumstances that resulted in the death yesterday of former Attorney General Ralph Kasambara at a lodge in Lilongwe’s Area 47.
Kasambara, a top-notch lawyer whose career folded when he was convicted in the Paul Mphwiyo attempted murder case, was discovered dead among various unnamed drugs and beers, according to a police situation report.
National police spokesperson Peter Kalaya says : “We are waiting for post-mortem results which we will determine the course of their investigations.”
Meanwhile, late Kasambara’s body will, after the post-mortem procedure, be taken to Blantyre for a farewell service before proceeding to Nkhata Bay for burial on Monday.
