Classrooms construction ready next year
Construction works for some 11,000 classrooms under the Malawi Education Reform Programme (MERP) project are expected to conclude by next year, education minister Madalitso Kambauwa-Wirima has confirmed.
Meant to decongest hundreds of primary schools across the country, the $210 million or K300 billion project is being facilitated by the Malawi Government, the World Bank and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE).
