CCJP on prudence expenditure.
The Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP) is demanding prudent expenditure of resources in view of socio-economic woes affecting the nation.
A recent assessment by the Center for Social Concern (CfSC) is revealing that the cost of living has risen by 2.2 percent from 510 thousand kwacha in March to 522 thousand kwacha April.
According to the CfSC, the situation is worse among low-income earners who are already suffering to meet their basic needs.
Commenting on the issue; CCJP national coordinator, Boniface Chibwana, says the government should allocate its resources prudently to ensure that the most vulnerable are reached.
