Hillary Chilomba new ACB boss.
The Deputy Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Hillary Chilomba is now the office’s acting director general.
In a statement ACB’s principle public relations officer Egritta Ndala says the development follows the expiry of the contract of the Former Director General Martha Chizuma on May 31.
This is in accordance with Section 8 of the Corrupt Practices Act.
The development comes as stakeholders are pushing for the appointment of the new Director General to fill the vacant post.
Recently, the National Advocacy Platform, through its chairperson Benedicto Kondowe appealed to the Public Appointments Committee of Parliament not to endorse officers based on political grounds.
