Maranatha Academy owner to award top JCE performers

Five top performing girls of this year’s Junior Certificate Examinations (JCE) will receive K1 million each courtesy of Private Schools Association of Malawi (PRISAM) president, Ernest Kaonga.
The Maranatha Academy managing director says this is one way of motivating girls who are sitting for the exams which has commenced today across the country.
“The offer goes to both private and public students. What I am looking for are top 5 girls and they will smile for their work. I am doing this for the love of education and complementing government efforts to promote girl child education,” said Kaonga.
According to records by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB), a total of 163,950 candidates are sitting for the 2024 JCE.
