Malawi National Women’s Football Team captain Tabitha Chawinga has been named in the 2023/24 UEFA Women’s Champions League Team of the season.
The team of the season has been selected by the Technical Observer panel.
In her debut Champions League season, the top Malawian female football export scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists for her Paris Saint-Germain Feminine club.
Recently, Chawinga was also crowned Player of the Year at the UNFP awards and Player of the Season at the Division 1 Feminine Awards some.
In the French League, she netted 19 goals and assisting 10 others making her the top scorers, 9 goals clear of anyone else.
In September last year, the Scorchers captain joined PSG on a season long loan deal from Wuhan Jianghan University of China until June 20 this year.
