Coaches body speaks on Ramadhan resignation

Has resigned as Wanderers coach-Ramadhan

An early resignation of Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan as Mighty Mukuru Wanderers as coach has attracted a reaction from the National Coaches Association.

The Burundian tactician has written the Wanderers President Thomson Mpinganjira about his decision after handling eight matches for the league season.

Ramadhan’s resignation has come after supporters chanted for his removal during the team’s two-nil loss away to Mzuzu City Hammers on Saturday.

This was after another two-nil loss to Silver Strikers at the banker’s backyard in Lilongwe, a week ago.

The Coaches Association therefore suggests patience among club stakeholders on the performance of the tutors.

Its General Secretary Davie Mpima also advises the club officials to sit down and iron out challenges in the camp.

“There is need for the Wanderers camp to be patient. Being patient will help them sit down and discover the problems whether they are from the players, coaches, management or the board and therefore solving them rather than parting ways with the head coach at this early stage,” said Mpima.

Meanwhile, the club has settled for Ramadhan’s assistant, Meke Mwase, as an interim head coach.

In a related development, MacNerbert Kazuwa and his assistant Elvis Kafoteka have also tendered resignation letters to struggling Chitipa United.

Kafoteka has also parted ways with Chitipa United
