RSA building death toll increases
Authorities are confirming that nine Malawians have died after a multi-storey building under construction collapsed on them in South Africa.
A total of 34 Malawians are said to have been involved in the tragic accident.
According public relations officer for the Ministry of Affairs Charles Nkhalamba, several other Malawians remain trapped in the rubble a week after the building collapse.
Reports from South African media say the death toll has reached 33, with the recovery of more victims underway.
Nkhalamba further indicates that efforts to assist the affected families are underway.
