12 arrested for multiple crimes in Salima

Police in Salima have arrested 12 people on suspicion that they committed various offences in the district.

According to Salima Police Spokesperson, Rabeca Ndiwate the arrests were made on the night of May 7, 2024 during an intelligence driven operation that was conducted by the Station.

“Among the suspects Hamza Brahim, aged 28, was found with a motor cycle suspected to have been unlawfully acquired, while eleven others are suspected to have committed offences including being found in possession of offensive weapons, entering into a protected area without permit, and breaking offences,” she said.

All the arrested twelve people will appear in court soon once paper work is complete.

Meanwhile Police in the district are assuring the public of its commitment in providing security in the district.
