CapeStars rates media highly
HS Winehouse Beverages and Hospitality through its CapeStars alcoholic spirits brand has saluted media role in building strong socioeconomic society by informing, educating and entertaining people.
At the recent World Press Freedom Day celebrations in Mangochi, the company, supported MISA Malawi by offering free cocktails during the award presentation gala.
The company went on further to support an interaction which a social grouping of journalists across Malawi, the Trivia Media Hub, organised in the same lake shore district.
“Caperstars is determined to promote the spirit of friendship among professional colleagues in the media as indeed in all other trades, to enhance and elevate collaboration, networking and peer learning for high performance,” said HS Winehouse Beverages and Hospitality chairperson Wilkins Mijiga.
On his part, a member of the Trivia Media Hub Virinyu Dzimbiri, of Dzimwe Radio, thanked the alcoholic beverages’ company for the support which allowed journalists to attend the party without financial burden.
“We appreciate the support by CapeStars which came despite all the financial challenges which everyone is going through including the corporate world,” a visible thankful Virinyu said.
On why the Trivia Media Hub organised the mix and mingle event, Virinyu said: “We represent different media houses and are based all over the country. The occasion allows us to meet as a group, share notes and celebrate the World Press Freedom Day in a relaxed atmosphere where we are all equals.”
The CapeStars produces gin, brandy and vodka spirits.
