Good Vision Glasses geared up to distribute 12,000 affordable sun glasses
Authorities at Good Vision Glasses are geared to distribute 12,000 affordable sun glasses to people with visual challenges in the country.
The organisation’s national distribution manager Movan Chirwa disclosed this on Tuesday during a briefing to Nsanje District Executive Committee.
According to Chirwa, Nsanje is one of the districts with high prevalence rate of eye problems which account for 6 in every 10 people in the district, blaming the trend on radiation fueled by climate change.
He revealed that the organisation will among others conduct eye screening services and distribution of affordable sun glasses pegged at a cost of K5,000 each.
Chirwa has since assured authorities in Nsanje that Good Vision Glasses will carry out its interventions in remote areas of the district to ensure that the masses acquire the much-needed eye screening services within their localities.
