National division league to address financial disparity -Haiya
The yet to be introduced national division league is expected to address the huge financial gap between top flight league and lower leagues, Football Association of Malawi (FAM) president Fleetwood Haiya has assured.
FAM is next season set to roll out a national division league which will be used to promote clubs to the elite competition.
With the Super League at K500 million per season, the current premier division leagues are at a maximum of at most K21 million per year, a gap described as unreasonable.
“I may not talk a lot, but as I speak, I assure you that there is a lot that is happening under the transformation agenda. Very soon we are going to unveil the sponsorship that is going to come for our national league. It is a lot of money as well. There difference that you are talking about is no longer there,” the FAM boss responded.
