Bullets in first season win

Scored and provided an assist -Kondowe

Defending champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have earned their first TNM Super League victory for the 2024 season after beating Chitipa United 3-0 at Karonga stadium.

The people’s team scored through Babatunde Adepoju, Patrick Mwaungulu and Ephraim Kondowe.

The record title holders started this year’s campaign with a one all draw away to Dedza Dynamos before they played a barren draw against Mighty Tigers at Kamuzu stadium last week.

“A game where the opposition started very well. Very quick, speed of play and always on the ball. The goal we scored made them to lose temple and we took over to earning victory,” reacted Bullets head coach Kalisto Pasuwa.

On his part, Chitipa United assistant coach Elvis Kafoteka said; “It is a painful loss for us because we prepared to do well or just a draw. We dominated in the first half but we lost concentration in the second half. We hope to come back strong.”

Elsewhere in the competition, Mighty Tigers have beaten Mzuzu City Hammers by a goal to nil in a match played at Kamuzu stadium.

In the matches involving Dedza Dynamos and Silver Strikers, the teams have played a one all draw just like the one at Mpira stadium between Bangwe All Stars and Karonga United.

On Sartuday, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers 3-0 Creck Sporting, Kamuzu Barracks 3-1 Fomo, Moyale Barracks 3-0 Civil Service United and Baka City 0-0 MAFCO.

Meanwhile, Super League of Malawi (SULOM) vice general secretary Donnex Chilonga is impressed with the stadium patronage during games, a move that has raised the gate revenue.

In the past two weeks after the launch of the 2024 TNM super league season, the gate revenue has hit K108 million.

Below is the log table as provided by SULOM media.
