Silver Strikers have signed goalkeeper George Chikooka from Chitipa United and striker Binwell Katinji from Civil Service United.

A club statement indicates that Chikooka has penned a three-year deal with the Central Bankers while Katinji will be with the club for two years.

While it is a fresh relationship between the shot-stopper and the Lilongwe giants, to Katinji this is a return to the club having first joined them in 2016 before he had left in 2018 for Malanti Chiefs in Eswatini and then later played for Civil Service United.

The new goalie was the second-best goalkeeper in the 2023 TNM Super League with 12 clean sheets while the hitman had 11 goals to his name in the same competition with Civil Service United last season.

The two have joined Christopher Gototo, McDonald Lameck, and Charles Chipala who joined the Area 47 side this year ahead of the 2024 season scheduled to start late next month.
