SPARC Systems eyeing global market after BRICS fair

Phiri: We are competing on the global level

SPARC Systems has become the first Malawian company to showcase its ability at global level by participating at the BRICS trade fair in South Africa.

The fair took place in Johannesburg from August 19 to 23 August, on the side-lines of the BRICS summit, which involves major economies.

Founder of the technology company Wisely Phiri says the event exposed the firm to the global economy after operating in Africa for many years.

“This means we are competing on the global level and we are no longer talking about Malawi or Africa.

“For me, I am sure it will complement the dollar and Malawians should know that these are the places that we should be able to go in and demand our seat on the table.

“When you participate at those type of events you get a glimpse of where things are going interms of technology and interms of the global economy,” Phiri said.

Meanwhile, Phiri has encouraged local entrepreneurs to be bold enough to showcase their capabilities at a top-notch level and participate in regional market like the African Continental Free Trade Area.

SPARC Systems is a multi-product and multi-division system Integration Company operating across Africa with five physical offices spread across Malawi, Zambia and Rwanda.
