FDH pumps K10m to Presidential Golf

The Presidential Charity Golf tournament has received a K10 million boost from FDH Bank Plc.
Speaking after making the donation at the bank’s head office in Blantyre on Wednesday, FDH group marketing manager Levi Nkunika said as an institution, the bank is always proud to supporting towards improving people’s lives.
“We feel obliged to make a contribution under our programme called FDH Cares. When we received a request we thought duty bound to make a contribution towards supporting Cyclone Freddy survivors as well as needy students in public universities,” highlighted the marketing manager.
On his part, Gift Chidya Gondwe who is the fundraising committee chairperson for the golf event commended the bank for the gesture adding it will go a long way.
“FDH Bank has shown that they are a true partner and a friend in times of need and in golf development. This is not the first time they have contributed to golf, so, we are happy that they are among those that have come earlier to support this noble cause,” said Chidya Gondwe.
Set for October 7, the initiative targets to raise K400 million to support Cyclone Freddy survivors and needy students in public universities.
