East, West, home’s best: Banda back at Bullets
Malawi’s record champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have announced the re-signing of Peter Banda barely hours after the attacker terminated a contract with the Tanzania’s Simba SC.
According to a statement by Bullets, Banda will be with the club until the end of the season.
He has however struggled for game time in Dar es Salaam due to injuries.
In an interview with the Bullets media team, Banda said; “I am happy to be back to the club that I love and I will give it all for the team. I know there is competition but I am ready for competition.”
Commenting on Banda’s return to Bullets, the team’s assistant coach Heston Munthali believes the youngster’s experience will help them both on local and international competitions.
“I believe it will not be difficult for him to work to copy up with him friends. We are happy that his experience will also help us here in Malawi and at CAF level. However, he will have to work extra hard in order to have game time.” Said Munthali.
Having left for Moldova’s Sherriff Tiraspol in 2020, the 22-year-old Flames youngster joined Simba in Tanzania the following year.
